Why did my hermit crab move into a shell that is waaaaaaaay to big for it?
My hermit crab is pretty small, so over the summer when I went down the shore I got a really big shell so just in case if he grew alot, i would have another one. I had one that the lady from the store said was the perfect size for him, but he chose the really big shell. Why?
I guess he thought the one from the store wasn’t large enough. They do choose larger ones to grow into.
If you had provided a variety of sizes, he may not have chosen the rally big one.
Tha is not to say you always need several sizes on hand. You just need something larger than the present one.
