why do people keep slagging off silver labradors,i own a 2yr old silver,she is gorgeous,perfect,& Registered.?
my silver lab is every bit a labrador as my chocolate lab. There are about 5 breeders in the uk of this beatiful dog. iIhope they become more popular. But a note to breeders, just because they are an unusual colour please don’t put your prices up, this is not a good way to spread the silver love.
she is registered as a shade of chocolate, she has no skin conditions or allergies, she is NOT A MUTT. she is very intelligent and while i was having a servere asthma attack she found my inhaler and brought it to me. probably saved me a trip to hospital.
Many down them because they are not Breed Standard as the current Standard is written. Others just feel the need to down others to try to make themselves appear to be better than they are. I personally have no issues with dogs of what is considered off-color and if they can be proven to be purebred then they should be allowed to be both registered and shown. Color and patterns, in my opinions, should not be the issue but whether or not they are breed standard in conformation, are tempermentally sound and healthy.
